What is a Urethral Stricture?

The urethra is a thin tube that carries urine out of the body in males and females, and has an important role in ejaculation for men.

When this tube becomes blocked or the flow of urine is slowed, this is called a urethral stricture.

Symptoms of a Urethral Stricture

  • Painful urination.
  • Slow or decreased urine.
  • Dark or bloody urine.
  • Abdominal pain.
  • Loss of bladder control.
